Cast metal enclosures will provide long life, are inherently corrosion resistant, are able to withstand more mechanical abuse and have the lowest initial cost
Mounting lugs are provided on all surface mounted boxes. Boxes up to 12” x 6” have 2 mounting lugs. Larger boxes have 4 mounting lugs. All mounting lugs will be located on the long sides of the box, unless otherwise specified

Raintight boxes are constructed to withstand a beating rain
Watertight boxes (NEMA Type 4) are constructed to prevent the entry of water under extreme conditions of weather
Dust-tight boxes are constructed to provide a degree of protection against dust and falling dirt
